Do soilless agricultural products affect people's health?
First, soilless culture is less likely to be infested by pests and diseases. Under the traditional agricultural production mode, because the soil is the most direct and basic growth medium, there is inevitably a certain probability of being infected by some diseases and pests, resulting in the normal growth of crops, how to do? Use pesticides, insecticides, etc. On the other hand, soilless culture uses aqueous solution, perlite and spray as the growth medium, which does not contact the soil, and the chance of being infected by soil-borne diseases and pests is almost zero. In addition, the current soilless culture can be upgraded to a closed environment in the isolation of the external environment growth conditions, there are diseases and pests in the external environment will not contact with the crops, but also greatly reduce the incidence of diseases and pests. Therefore, agricultural products planted in soilless cultivation mode have unique advantages compared with traditional agricultural products in terms of agricultural residues.
Secondly, the nutrient solution and spray used in soilless cultivation are also relatively safe. Soilless agricultural products also need nutrients to grow and mature normally. Unlike traditional soil cultivation, soilless crops spend most of their time soaking their roots in water or nutrient solution, and the roots absorb nutrients from the water or nutrient solution to grow. Relatively speaking, the composition of the nutrient solution is actually not fundamentally different from the fertilizer solution in the soil, and it is only a solution of salt particles formed by dissolved nutrients in water. However, due to the low nutrient content and single nutrient types in the water medium, it is inevitable that some plant endogenous hormones or fungicides to prevent root rot will be added to the nutrient solution. However, the content of these ingredients is also relatively low, and will not affect the health of consumers.
Finally, soilless agricultural products are similar to those grown with traditional chemical fertilizers. After all, agricultural products grown away from the soil, even if the use of nutrient solutions will not be formulated with nutrient content, nutrient types and soil similar to the situation, especially in the soil some of the various amino acids, monosaccharides and trace elements, artificial nutrition solutions still have certain disadvantages. Therefore, the quality of soilless cultivated products is no problem, but in terms of nutrition and palatability, there is no difference with soil cultivated agricultural products.
