Dutch bucket
The Dutch Bucket is an efficient greenhouse aquaponics device that is ideal for growing larger, perennial crops such as vine tomatoes, capsicum (hot pepper), cucumbers and other plants. You can use almost any type of growing medium, including expanded clay particles, perlite, and coconut coir.
The Dutch Bucket is also suitable for hydroponic systems. The overflow outlet can be connected to the central 1-1/2 inch PVC drain pipe. Dutch drums have an efficient internal discharge system. By installing two elbows, overflow water is drawn from the lowest part of the barrel and discharged into the central drain pipe. This will avoid the accumulation of standing water. Dutch barrels are 12 "x 10" x 9 "(LxWxH) in size. Dutch barrels are made of food-grade polypropylene.

Characteristics of Dutch Bucket hydroponic system
The Dutch Bucket is designed to be fed by a drip irrigator and can be drained using common 1.5 "PVC pipe purchased locally.
The siphon bend adjusts the nutrient solution safety storage at the bottom of the barrel to a depth of 1". This function prevents the growing medium from drying out and causing moisture stress between irrigation cycles. The siphon also prevents excessive accumulation of nutrient solution.
You can use almost any type of growing medium, including expanded clay particles, perlite, and coconut coir.
Perfect for tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, scallions, other herbs and more!
